Contract: Permanent,

Part Time Hours: 30 hours (the centre operates a 9 day fortnight, working days can be agreed)

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £54,715 to £63,470 pro rata per annum. Please note that the starting salary for the role is £54,715 pro rata per annum (actual salary £46,899 per annum) with an opportunity to progress up the scale over time.

Would you like to make a positive difference to the lives of survivors of torture? Do you have experience of coordinating clinical services delivery to vulnerable groups in a community setting?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Services Manager to manage our innovative and friendly multidisciplinary team at our West Midlands Centre in Birmingham.

You will lead and coordinate a team of experienced and innovative clinicians, in the service delivery of a range of NICE guideline recommended therapy interventions, offered to our clients’, survivors of torture and organised violence. You will report to the Associate Director of Clinical Services and operate as an integral part of the Clinical Management Team. This is an exciting chance to join us as we place survivor empowerment and movement building at the heart of our next four year strategy, and work together to increase the number of clients who can access our services.

This is a wide-ranging position and your key areas of responsibility will include:

• Responsibility for coordinating, leading and developing the clinical services function within the centre, which provides clinical services to adults, young people & families

• Leading on the implementation of Freedom from Torture's new clinical model "Pathways" with particular emphasis on survivor empowerment and evidence based practice for the treatment of PTSD and other trauma spectrum disorders.

• Championing people development as well as influence delivery of evidenced based practice, clinical standards, quality initiatives and audit based services.

• Being an effective role model and leader to encourage, develop and enhance skills of others.

About you

This is an important role within Freedom from Torture, to be successful in this role you must have a high level of commitment, to maintaining excellent standards of client care and service delivery. It’s a key requirement that you must have knowledge of appropriate standards and external regulatory bodies, such as the Care Quality Commission. You must also have sound financial awareness and experience of balancing the provision of quality care against budgetary parameters.
