This unique Clinical/Counselling Psychologist role is pivotal in delivering this vision, helping to “Keep London Safe” and “Create a Metropolitan Police where keeping healthy and well is as much a part of our culture as fighting crime”.

As a truly outstanding Psychologist, you’ll provide psychological perspective to an interdisciplinary setting in line with the holistic case management protocols.  Mainly concerned with the psychosocial factors in the work environment, promoting the wellbeing of employees in relation to a work-life balance, workplace discrimination, health and safety issues and advising departments on strategies for the management of stress and burnout.  Alongside this, you will step into a leadership role, providing clinical expertise to a select cohort of officers who have been identified as benefitting from enhanced psychological support. You will be joining a highly skilled onsite team that covers functions such as trauma therapy and counselling interventions, trauma support, psychological monitoring programme and bespoke health and wellbeing support.

You will have highly developed skills in the assessment of clinical risk and mental health conditions, along with demonstrable experience of delivering trauma interventions. You will have strong knowledge of occupational health services, bringing a minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience, ideally in an occupational health, EAP or clinical NHS service.
