We are looking for a new staff member who shares our passion and commitment to work with individuals with suspected autism to improve their access to timely and high-quality assessment. This is an exciting opportunity to be with the service as we go through a period of change and development.

The post holder will be a key member of the team, with lead responsibility for diagnostic assessment and formulation work for adults seeking a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and/or with complex Neurodevelopmental needs in Jersey. The post-holder will also provide specialist psychological assessment and formulation support and supervision to the other members of the Adult Autism Assessment MDT, as well as consultation to the partners and agencies we work with across Jersey.

Working as a part of a close knit team and also autonomously to ensure psychology input is delivered within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures, the post holder will have a key role in helping the service expand and develop, with the aim of improving the journey of adults who may be on the autistic spectrum as they seek clarity around their diagnosis, post diagnostic support needs, and treatment for any co morbid mental health problems they may be encountering.

This post would suit someone with UK professional registration and at least 2 years post qualification experience. It would suit someone who loves working as part of a team and alongside multidisciplinary colleagues. Ideally we are looking for someone with experience of working with this service user group in any care setting, or someone who has transferable skills. The role will
involve offering teaching and training to other staff across our mental health service. There are excellent opportunities to progress, and we have a good track record in progressing our psychological therapies staff.

We would be delighted to discuss this role further with any interested professionals so please do get in touch if you would like to know more.
