Belfast Health and Social Care Trust is now recruiting for Registered Practitioner Psychologists to join their team. 

Multiple vacancies are available within the Psychological Services Department, including Band 7, Band 8A, Band 8B and Band 8C roles.

Job opportunities are available across a range of different services including:

• Paediatrics
• Community Adult Mental Health
• Autism Spectrum Disorder – Lifespan
• Adult Health Services, including: Cancer, Haematology, HIV & Stroke
• Learning Disability, including: Adults & Children
• Looked After Children Therapeutic Support Services

For the Band 7 roles, there is a Preceptorship Programme pathway available, which aims to facilitate progression to Band 8a. We welcome applications from newly qualifying Practitioner Psychologists and those already working in a Band 7 position who do not yet meet the criteria for the Band 8A position.

The successful applicant will be free to decide whether or not they accept the Preceptorship route, recognising that some applicants may prefer to accept a Band 7 role, with no Preceptorship path.

If the successful applicant chooses the Preceptorship route, we will provide a comprehensive and full supported Preceptorship Programme. This will occur over a set period, depending on previous experience, and the employee meeting set objectives required to fulfill the role of a Specialist Practitioner Psychologist.

A Relocation package is also available for all roles.
