Our well-established Clinical Psychology Doctoral programme is one of the largest in the country and is characterised by a distinctive approach to its subject matter. The Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme at the University of East London is well-established (clinical psychology training began at UEL in 1975).
As Programme Director (Clinical), you will provide leadership to the programme in collaboration with the Programme Director (Academic), be responsible for developing its strategic vision and setting its direction as well as manage the clinical tutor team and act as line manager for the trainee clinical psychologists. They will oversee the components of the programme that focus on the development and assessment of clinical skills and work closely with the commissioners of training, senior clinicians and service leads across the region.
The appointed person will have a qualification and substantial experience in Clinical Psychology and be registered with the HCPC to practice as a Clinical Psychologist. Previous senior management experience in the NHS and/or contribution to Clinical Psychology training programmes is desirable.
