Job Details

Solstice is the largest private mental health practice in Bermuda, with research and training links to universities in the UK and Caribbean, a thriving professional development programme and an emergent international arm. We provide comprehensive and holistic evidence-based mental health services to people of all ages. We have an experienced multi-disciplinary team of 36 clinicians which includes 12 Registered Psychologists from the UK, Canada, Australia and Bermuda.

Solstice combines the benefits of private practice with those of working in an inclusive team environment. We provide mental health services across demographics and client groups including Adult Mental Health; Neuro; Child and Adolescent; Corporate and Organisational Psychology; Community Psychology; and Trauma. Our work allows us to incorporate the beauty and resources of this beautiful, safe island by offering experiential therapies including Surf Therapy, Beach Walk Therapy, and Ecotherapy alongside more traditional approaches.

We are looking for two Registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologists with at least 1-year post-doctorate experience to join our team. The post-holders will be expected to deliver high quality psychology services to clients in the community and via telehealth. They will have excellent assessment and therapeutic skills, as well as relevant experience of case management and supervision within an MDT context.

Training in CFT, ACT, CAT or MBT a distinct advantage, as is training in holistic modalities such as therapeutic yoga. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who are experienced and enthusiastic about working with primary age children, and those with expertise in supporting people with complex trauma.

In addition, we are looking for an HCPC Registered Educational Psychologist to join our team to help us to bridge the gap between mental healthcare and education. The post-holder will join our flourishing Child and Adolescent Programme, providing specialist assessments, reports and individual/school/system-based interventions. You will be supported by our Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Therapist, Play and Arts Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Psychology Assistants and Counsellors.

Excellent opportunities for professional development and advancement - including training and mentorship. We believe that happy psychologists produce great results so we are focused on creating roles that leave our team members feeling motivated, inspired and fulfilled.

Solstice is committed to research-led practice and the post-holders will be invited to be involved in research that supports high-quality interventions in this field. Community engagement and collaboration are key parts of working in this small country so the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively across different demographic groups is essential.

Solstice provides a generous relocation allowance, including return flights from the UK and the first month’s accommodation in Bermuda. The salary starts at £75,000 / BMD$98,000 pa after tax.

All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check, and must be eligible for registration as a Psychologist in Bermuda.
