Location: London or West/Southwest of England
Salary: band 7 AFC equivalent
Discipline: counselling, psychotherapy
Contract: permanent

Do you want to help aspiring counsellors learn and grow?
We’ve got two exciting opportunities, one predominantly within the West/South West of England (Gloucestershire, West Berkshire and available on 0.8 WTE basis/30 hours a week) and the other predominantly within our London counselling services (Harrow, Brent, Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham, Merton and available on a full-time basis/37.5 hours a week). Both roles are available as hybrid.
The Roles
We are looking for registered (BACP/UKCP/HCPC/BABCP) and experienced counsellor specialists/psychotherapists/psychological therapists, who are interested in a supervisory role, working across our Via services.
The role will provide leadership, playing a key role in shaping culture and processes. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will support our volunteer counsellors to provide safe and effective interventions through regular supervision, work alongside other psychological professionals to deliver a stepped care model for those experiencing psychological distress, and support the counselling service to grow and innovate.
This well supported post is ideal for therapists seeking to step into a leadership position whilst continuing to grow diverse skills that contribute to trauma-informed working. We offer:
- Opportunities for expanding and refining competencies, training and supervision (such as EMDR)
- Tailoring roles to the person’s interests, including opportunities to work in other parts of the service
- Hybrid working

For an informal chat about the roles please contact Dr Michelle O’Sullivan, Head of Psychology via michelle.osullivan@viaorg.uk
The closing date for applications is Sunday 13 October 2024 at midnight.
Interviews are likely to take place on Thursday 24 October for the West/Southwest role and 31 October for the London role.
