Position Overview:
The Beekeeper is seeking suitably qualified and licensed candidates for full-time positions as Psychologists and a Principal Psychologist. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to a leading regional organization with a focus on rehabilitation related to mental health issues and substance misuse or dependency. Candidates must be licensed with the BPS, HCPC or their equivalent licensing boards.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to experience living and working abroad in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. Our Location:
Nestled amidst the breathtaking mountains of Chiang Mai, our serene property offers stunning views of verdant peaks and tranquil natural landscapes. The Beekeeper operates a purpose-built inpatient treatment center that provides clients with an ideal environment to focus on restoring their mental health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities Psychologist:
- Schedule and manage a caseload of approximately four clients.
- Assess and identify clients’ issues and presentations.
- Conduct client consultations in a supportive and comfortable environment.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Perform psychometric testing and other relevant evaluations.
- Monitor and evaluate client responses to treatment over time.
- Develop long-term counseling plans involving multiple sessions.
- Provide services to all age groups, including one-on-one and group sessions.
- Facilitate groups in collaboration with other clinicians.
- Maintain detailed client mental health records in the EMR system.
- Build and sustain relationships based on trust and empathy.
- Participate in weekly individual/group supervision sessions and MDT meetings.
- Cover for other psychologists during periods of leave.
- Contribute to the development of innovative clinical program ideas in coordination with the Clinical Director.
- Provide guidance, support, or coaching to support workers or mental health staff as needed.
- Coordinate client care with the Medical Director or a consulting psychiatrist.
Requirements:
- A relevant degree in Psychology.
- Active and valid licensure in Psychology or equivalent.
- Exceptional observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated empathy and sensitivity in client interactions.
- Analytical and diagnostic capabilities.
- Problem-solving expertise.
- Minimum of five years of clinical experience preferred (newly qualified psychologists may be considered on a case-by-case basis).
Key Responsibilities - Principal Psychologist:
In addition to the responsibilities outlined for Psychologists, the Principal Psychologist will:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the psychology team.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Oversee complex cases and provide expert consultations.
- Ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director to evaluate and enhance clinical services.
