Service Area: Adult Psychological Therapies.

Working Pattern: Remote/Hybrid.

Total Hour: 37.5 hours

Salary: £65,000 to £73,000 per annum

Travel: This will be periodically required to our offices in York and London, and other locations within the UK (reimbursed through expenses).

About our opportunity

The Principal Clinical Lead is a new position at Onebright. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist to work alongside our Head of Adult Psychological Therapies and to lead service provision within either Onebright’s Private Medical Insurance pathway or our Specialised Contracts.

You will:

  • Hold clinical accountability and responsibility for either Onebright’s Private Medical Insurance or Specialised Contracts to ensure high quality, accessible and inclusive evidence based psychological services are delivered to our client groups.

  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Adult Psychological Therapies, Operational, and Commercial teams supporting strategic development across the business.

  • Provide clinical supervision and specialist consultations within Adult Psychological Therapies.

  • Attend external meetings with our many contract partners.

  • Hold direct line management responsibility for the Clinical Leads and support them in their managerial/supervisory roles and responsibilities.

  • Provide evidence-based treatments as approved by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) to clients accessing our services.  

What we need from you 

  • Doctoral level training in either clinical or counselling psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the British Psychological Society.

  • Further postgraduate study in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and BABCP accreditation or moving towards accreditation within 6-months of appointment.

  • HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist.

  • Post-graduate training in at least two evidence based psychological therapies.

  • Minimum of five years’ mental health experience working in public and/or private healthcare.

  • Minimum of two years’ experience of managing and developing adult healthcare services and teams of staff within these settings.
