Lexxic is a specialist psychological consultancy focussing on neurodiversity in the workplace. Established in 2007, we are a team of psychologists who support Occupational Health Providers, FTSE 100 companies and government bodies create environments that empower neurodiverse minds.

As part of Lexxic’s next stage of development, we are excited to create and recruit two new leadership roles within the organisation. These roles are Director of Psychology and Head of Psychological Services South.

This is an opportunity for forward-thinking psychologists to support our continuing growth and ensuring our services are delivered to the highest quality standards for our clients.

Director of Psychology

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

Location: UK

Key responsibilities

  • Work directly with the CEO and COO as the Lead Psychologist on all aspects of Lexxic’s services. This includes resourcing, psychological best practice, development of policies and procedures, people management, succession planning and growth.
  • Work with a team of two Heads of Psychological Services to oversee all psychological projects within Lexxic, ensuring they are delivered in line with agreed objectives.
  • To have overall responsibility for the development of staff through the Qualification in Occupational Psychology. This includes the development and formation of a structure for the progress of the team, ensuring that submissions are being completed and that these are submitted on a regular basis.
  • Have key oversight on best practice for the neurodiversity psychological processes within Lexxic. This includes, but is not limited to, 1) The end to end assessment procedure 2) Quality of reporting 3) Adherence to best practice and appropriate guidelines and responsibility for signing off reports and diagnostics.
  • Innovate and input into key aspects of the psychological services and products within Lexxic.
  • Collaborate with the client development team to provide advice and guidance on psychological services to existing and new clients.
  • Oversee research, reporting data and publications within Lexxic relating to psychological services.
  • To offer supervision and support across all staff, where appropriate, when dealing with complex client cases.
  • To deliver training to staff where appropriate to ensure their knowledge and skills are up to date.
  • To identify and attend appropriate training for your CPD and that links in with business objectives and to disseminate this to the rest of the team.
  • To link in with partner organisations in order to promote Lexxic services and build reciprocal working relationships.
  • To sign off and approve tenders for the business.

Key attributes:

- You will be a Chartered Occupational Psychologist who is post qualified 2 years, who is on the BPS RAPPS register and HCPC registered. 

- Self managed and strategic individual that has experience of working within senior management and is looking for an opportunity to work within a passionate, innovative and growing company;

- In-depth understanding of neurodiversity or mental health conditions.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8.45am to 5.30pm. Travel outside of these hours will be required, but time off in lieu will be provided for travel where applicable.

We will also consider an appointment of four days per week for this position. Pro-rata salary will apply.

Lexxic operates flexible hours and the ability to work from home, as well as time off in lieu. We have clients throughout the UK and our head office is in London. Occasional travel to client site and head office will be expected in this role.

Head of Psychological Services - South

Reporting to: Director of Psychology

Location: London (or within a one-hour commute)

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of Psychological Services North and Director of Psychology to oversee all aspects of the delivery of Lexxic’s services.
  • To support the Director of Psychology with the implementation of new services, products and training of staff.
  • Manage and support a team consisting of Business and Assistant Psychologists. Deliver assessments and ensure that the report writing process is adhered to and SLAs are met.
  • Lead key psychological projects relating to the development of services, training, specialist skills in neurodiversity and organisational change.
  • To build and maintain relationships with key client organisations, supporting their needs and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions. 
  • Manage any client issues that may arise as part of the day to day running of Lexxic. Identify and predict potential issues and develop solutions with the team.
  • To support the business development team with psychological input to ensure clients have a technical understanding of our services.
  • Support the executive team to implement Lexxic’s business strategy, feeding back the results of changes, improvements and potential challenges.
  • Represent Lexxic to our clients and members of the public through attendance at conferences, networking events and delivering presentations.
  • Work with the business development team to produce and submit tenders.
  • To have oversight of the day to day running of staffing levels, ensuring resources meet demand.
  • Maintain your chartership status with regular CPD or to be working towards this by regularly submitting entries for the Qualification in Occupational Psychology.
  • To be part of the audit process and to undertake regular audits of Lexxic policies and procedures in line with ICO recommendations.
  • To attend team meetings and board meetings where appropriate, to disseminate information to the wider team and to inform the board members of business developments.

You will be a Chartered Occupational Psychologist (HCPC Registered) or Practitioner in Training (PIT) on a recognised BPS route. You will have significant experience of supporting individuals with specific learning difficulties or mental health. You will have strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and IT skills. Line management experience is also required. 

Key attributes: Self-managed, attention to detail, proactive, work with minimal guidance and supervision.
