Children and Young People’s Services Directorate
The Education Authority was established on 1 April 2015 and since then has been transforming its structures and functions, bringing together the five former Education and Library Boards to create one new organisation. EA is one of the largest educational bodies in the United Kingdom and a major employer in Northern Ireland. The organisation delivers a wide range of services to around 1500 schools and youth centres to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
EA is now seeking to develop the leadership structures in its Children and Young People’s Services Directorate through the appointment of three new Assistant Directors. Each AD will play a vital role in leading the organisation through its on-going transformation journey and in re-developing service delivery models, structures and systems to improve outcomes across the following areas:
- Special education statutory services
- Special education provision
- Pupil support services
- Pupil welfare, child protection and inclusion
- Early intervention, pupil outcomes and performance management
Applications are sought from individuals who have a track record of success in the leadership and delivery of educational services. Well-developed leadership capability is also essential including the ability to develop vision and strategy, motivate and engage teams and to build collaborative working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
The closing date for the receipt of completed applications is 12 noon on Tuesday 7 November 2017.
EA is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from everyone regardless of religious belief, political opinion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, race or age.
