Full time 37.5 hours.

Split post: 3 days (6 sessions) Pathways Northwest Ltd Rehabilitation & 2 days (4 sessions) Aaban Partnership Ltd.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Psychologist with a keen interest and demonstrated experience in rehabilitation or related setting, to join our enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team in providing rehabilitation to adults with complex trauma and mental health related needs. The post is split between the rehabilitation care homes at Pathways Northwest Ltd and the specialist treatment rehabilitation service for women at Aaban Partnership Ltd. Based in East Lancashire.

You will support the work of the clinical psychology service across the rehabilitation service. You will have opportunities to support service development and deliver pieces of therapeutic work, under the supervision of Clinical Psychologists. The service promotes a recovery model of mental health and our clinical psychologists are trained in CBT, EMDR, Narrative Therapy and DBT.

You will work directly with the care home staff teams and service users, supporting psychological understanding of presenting needs and implementing psychologically informed interventions. There will also be opportunities to co-facilitate staff training, to assist with the planning and facilitation of groups, and to support the case formulation sessions that are run by the two qualified psychologists working across the service.

The post is a fixed 1 year contract and is for 37.5 hours per week.

The post is subject to satisfactory 6 month probationary period.
