Job Description

CTC is an Independent psychology practice and an Ofsted Registered Adoption Support Agency.  We have been established since 1988, and provide specialist assessment (including Forensic work), therapeutic intervention, training, consultancy and Adoption Support services.  We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to join our Multi-disciplinary Team.  The team approach is eclectic, with a strong focus on psychodynamic, developmental and Attachment/Trauma, including Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and EMDR.

The post requires a minimum 2.1 degree, a capacity for fast learning and independent thinking, and an ability to work flexibly across the age range.  The work is exciting and challenging, and requires good organisational and time-management skills.  Our practice is based in Chester but serves a wide area, including the North West, Cumbria, the Midlands, Derbyshire and Wales, and some travel is therefore required.  The post offers a wide range of relevant experience for those looking to undertake Clinical Psychology training in the future.

Our service is committed to the protection and safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults.  The successful applicant will therefore be required to provide an Enhanced DBS, the cost of which will be met by CTC.

Please email to request a job description, person specification and application pack (please do not upload your CV as we will only consider applications submitted via completion of our own application form).  Your completed application form must be posted with a hand-written covering letter to:

Dr Jeanie McIntee, Consultant Clinical & Forensic Psychologist, CTC Psychological Services LLP, Weldon House, 20 Walpole Street, Chester, CH1 4HG.

Closing date: Thursday 27 July 2017

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 1 August 2017
