8A Clinical/Counselling Psychologist with the Regional Cystic Fibrosis Service (2 Posts).
It is a time of immense change in cystic fibrosis (CF) treatment as new CFTR modulator drugs are being prescribed that have the potential to dramatically alter the lives of people with CF.
In this time of significant transformation, we are recruiting two psychologists. Are you a qualified clinical or counselling psychologist with experience of working in specialist physical health settings? We are looking for two enthusiastic and innovative psychologists who have a strong patient centred approach to delivering patient care.
The successful candidates will join our multidisciplinary CF team to provide psychological expertise and to support the team continually deliver a service that best meets the psychological needs of young people and adults with CF. They will also provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention work on an individual and virtual group basis to people with CF. The psychology service for people with CF and in particular the transition service for young people is predicated on a commitment to prevention, early intervention and general well-being. The peer support of other clinical psychologists working within various respiratory specialisms in BHSCT is available. There are teaching and research opportunities as we have established links with the local Universities. Whilst we are looking to recruit on a 0.8 WTE basis we are happy to discuss other patterns of working.
