Band 8c (£60,587 - £72,967) inclusive of HCAS
(Child Psychotherapist, Family Therapist, Nurse, Clinical Psychologist)
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CAMHS clinician to take up a key leadership position in Newham CAMHS. We are looking for a senior clinician from a core CAMHS discipline (Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Family Therapy, Nursing or Clinical Psychology) to provide joint clinical leadership alongside a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist colleague for one of our two Emotional and Behavioural teams and to operationally manage the multidisciplinary team. The post-holder will also lead on other specific workstreams, projects and external partnerships within the service.
You will be someone who can contribute fully to the clinical, professional, strategic and partnership agenda of the service and who can participate in the wider development of CAMHS across Newham. As a member of the senior management team, you will ensure that there is a clear leadership and management structure for multi-disciplinary CAMHS within the areas of responsibility in the context of a dynamic and complex borough with well-developed relationships and partnerships.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced CAMHS clinician who will be responsible for the delivery of the highest standards of care and services for children and young people with mental health problems and their families. Working in partnership with the Lead Clinician and General Manager, you will provide inspirational leadership of multidisciplinary clinicians to ensure effective, evidence based assessment and treatment, accessible care pathways, proactive management of service capacity and a culture of continuous quality improvement. You will need to be an imaginative and strategic thinker, creative and determined in your approach and exceptional in your ability to lead and influence others.
If you have highly developed communication and leadership skills and would enjoy this opportunity to ensure robust patient safety, improved patient experience, clinical outcomes, quality and performance standards, we encourage you to apply.
You will be based in diverse Plaistow in the London Borough of Newham, with excellent transport hubs and first class personal and professional development opportunities in an award-winning Trust (HSJ Provider Trust of the Year). The Trust’s inpatient and community CAMHS services have recently been rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
While the candidate appointed will be the top performing applicant irrespective of discipline, we particularly welcome applications from Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists and Family Therapists as these disciplines are not currently represented at Clinical Team Lead level in our service.
