Senior Psychologist (other experience considered)
Chadwick Lodge is a forensic mental health hospital which cares for male and female service users in both medium and low secure settings. The hospital is a positive and friendly place to work and the Psychology Department was recently described in the hospital’s CQC report as an ‘outstanding’ service ‘providing excellent access to psychological therapies… and operating a comprehensive, patient focussed, individualised service’. Psychologists are highly regarded in the service and we are looking for an addition to our team.
The post is to work in the male forensic mental health pathway. The post holder will work with a multi-disciplinary team, providing assessment, formulation and treatment of male forensic service users. They will provide specialist individualised and group based interventions alongside other members of the Psychology team; this will include personality disorder interventions; mental health programmes; substance misuse and other bespoke offence focussed work.
The hospital has an excellent reputation for the management and treatment of complex sexual offenders and as such we would be especially interested in candidates who have experience in this area of work.
The post holder will be actively encouraged to develop their professional skills with a full range of CPD and development opportunities. Elysium prides itself in the development of staff and as such we are able to support needs-led career development and CPD.
What we are looking for:
Following a highly successful few years, the Psychology Department are looking to recruit a Senior Psychologist to work on our Male Forensic pathway. The vacancy is ideally for a HCPC registered Senior Clinical or Forensic Psychologist, however we are able to consider a range of candidates based upon previous experience. This could include a Forensic Psychologist in Training who is registered on either the British Psychological Society’s Stage 2 route; or who is on a Forensic Psychology Doctorate training route and is seeking a salaried position. Training, supervision and CPD time will be provided.
We welcome informal discussions about opportunities available and interested candidates are welcome to visit the site in advance of any application.
