Applications are invited for the post of Clinical and Academic Tutor on the Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology within the Salomons Centre for Applied Psychology. The doctoral programme is well-established and has a highly respected reputation for quality and excellence. There is excellent administrative, IT and library support based within an attractive campus in the Kent countryside near Tunbridge Wells. The Salomons Centre will be re-locating to a central Tunbridge Wells location in 2017.
This four to six session post involves contributing to the development and delivery of the educational programme through the teaching and support of trainees. Key responsibilities will include contributing to the academic and research elements of the curriculum, supporting the development and provision of placements during training, and managing a designated group of trainees. The programme has a strong value base that aligns itself with the NHS values, HCPC and BPS codes of professional conduct.
You will be a qualified and HCPC-registered clinical psychologist with a good level of experience of clinical practice, and a breadth of awareness to understand issues across clinical specialties. You will have experience of supervision and teaching. In addition you will have good research skills and the ability to promote their development in others. You will enjoy working with trainees, and will be able to support the development of individuals and to nurture collaborative working relationships across a variety of complex organisational and professional contexts.
