Our large and innovative psychological services team is expanding! The investment in psychological services continues to grow here at The Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal and we are recruiting a number of positions to enable our highly valued team to grow further. Priory Group is the UK’s leading independent provider of mental health care and education services. We have an outstanding reputation both for the service we deliver and for the investment we make in our people and in our environment.
An exciting opportunity exists for a full or part-time Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist to join a dynamic psychology department providing input to our Adult PICU’s (Male and Female units). The post-holder will join a supportive network of psychological specialists and access high quality supervision and support.
Suitable candidates will have skills in assessment and intervention with individuals who have complex mental health needs, and who may present with risk of harm to themselves or others. Applicants will need to have received extensive training in therapy (equivalent to clinical or counselling psychology doctoral training placements) and will draw flexibly on a range of models, theories and approaches in their work and enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The role also requires provision of consultancy, supervision and training to colleagues and participation in research, evaluation and service development as appropriate. We welcome applications from both qualified Psychologists and those due to qualify in 2019.
The psychology department has strong links with local Universities, providing placements for clinical and counselling psychology trainees and other psychological specialists in training.
