The Brandon Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy for Young People is a small charity, with a significant local community presence, that has been providing services to young people in Camden and neighbouring boroughs for over fifty years. Our services include psychological therapies, a contraception and sexual health service, parenting groups and systemic integrative treatments. The principal objective of the Brandon Centre is to maintain and develop an accessible and flexible professional service in response to the psychological, sexual health and social needs of young people aged 12 to 25. We are looking for a dynamic, experienced and forward-thinking individual, to provide clinical expertise and leadership across the organisation. Working closely with the Centre’s CEO, the Clinical Director will be responsible for overseeing all the clinical work of the Centre, to ensure the development and delivery of high quality services that are well regarded by young people. The Clinical Director will also work collaboratively, to develop the organisation’s vision, strategy and opportunities for growth.
We are looking for someone with significant experience in leading, supervising and managing staff who are working therapeutically with young people, either in the NHS or the voluntary sector. You should have extensive experience and understanding of a range of psychotherapeutic models and their application in the treatment of young people with mental health issues including the use of outcome measures. In addition, you should have demonstrable experience and expertise in service development, partnership working, clinical governance and contract management.
Interested applicants are required to have a qualification in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy), Psychotherapy (BPC or UKPC registered) or Child Psychotherapy (ACP registered) and have substantial experience in managing a psychological therapy service at a senior/organisational level.
