Clinical Director

£78,983 per annum pro rata

Hours: Full time (negotiable but at least 4 days/week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, experienced and forward-thinking Clinician to provide clinical expertise and leadership to the Brandon Centre. Working closely with the Centre’s CEO, the Clinical Director will be responsible for leading, managing and directing the clinical work of the centre to ensure the delivery of a high quality service to young people.  The Clinical Director will also work with the CEO and other managers to maintain and develop collaborative working and funding opportunities.

We are looking for a clinician with significant experience in supervising and managing staff who are working therapeutically with young people with mental health problems either in the NHS or the voluntary sector.   You should have a high level of expertise and competence with current psychotherapeutic models and methods of practice and the ability to apply these in the treatment of young people with mental health problems, including the use of routine outcome measures.  In addition, you should have demonstrable experience and expertise in service development, clinical governance and contract management.

You have a qualification in clinical psychology (D Clin Psych), psychotherapy (BPC or UKPC registered) or child psychotherapy (ACP registered) and have substantial experience in managing a psychological therapy service.  The successful candidate will also have a genuine commitment to, and sympathy with, the Brandon Centre's objectives, maintaining its ethos of young person centred care.

Brandon Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy for Young People is a charitable organisation that has existed for 50 years.  The principal objective of the Brandon Centre is to maintain and develop an accessible and flexible professional service in response to the psychological, sexual health and social needs of young people aged 12 to 25.  More information about the charity can be found on our website.
