NSFT Secure Mental Health Services have been consistently rated "Good" by the CQC and are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Psychologist who will join us on our journey to "Outstanding". Our inpatient secure services form part of a wide and growing portfolio of services operating in a variety of settings linked to the Criminal Justice System.
NSFT Secure Services offer low and medium secure mental health services for men, an innovative integrated secure mental health service for women, mental health and personality disorder services in local prisons, community forensic services, criminal justice liaison and diversion services and Offender Personality Disorder Pathway services in partnership with the National Probation Service.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 0.8 WTE Applied Psychologist with substantial forensic experience to lead our community Offender Personality Disorder Pathway work. This is a recently created position following the expansion of the existing role to include the set-up and supervision of an IIRMS model, a brief intervention service (LightBulb), as well as a continuation of the existing consultancy role with NPS.
You will be supported by a full time RMN/wellbeing practitioner, two trainee forensic psychologists and an occupational therapist.
You will be part of the wider NSFT OPD Pathway Psychology team and will receive clinical supervision, professional and governance support from within the team. Within NSFT Secure Services we employ a diverse and supportive team of psychologists, including Clinical, Counselling and Forensic practitioners and the position is open to psychologists from any division that have relevant experience. We are able offer our team members the opportunity to continue to develop their expertise via training and development opportunities in different parts of our service. The post involves travel to various sites across Norfolk and Suffolk and therefore the ability to drive and access to a vehicle is essential.
