Hours: 28 hours per week (four days)
Salary: £45,000 to £60,000 per annum FTE depending on experience, plus 6% contributory pension scheme
The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families supports distressed children and their families through innovative therapeutic practice and research, training and promoting awareness of mental health issues.
The Centre has been commissioned to provide clinical input to Brent Council’s Inclusion and Alternative Education Service. The purpose of the Inclusion Support Team is to improve educational outcomes and well-being in children and families by providing input to schools using models backed by research and training. This post is a clinical post to provide direct work with pupils with mental health needs and also to provide coordination and leadership for the group of four experienced Clinicians, who will offer a clinical service to the multi–disciplinary Inclusion Support Team and referring schools. The task will be to offer some comprehensive assessments and short-term work with a number of pupils with complex needs, contributing to their successful integration and reintegration through a multi-agency approach, and to strengthen skills and competencies in the professionals around them. The team will be supported through clinical supervision.
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to undertake assessments of parents/carers, other family members and children and young people, including those presenting with actual or possible learning difficulties to:
- Coordinate the functioning of the Anna Freud Centre Outreach Clinical Team in Brent;
- Take a lead role in relation to research and audit;
- Provide consultations, teach and training to external visitors and allied professionals.
