The Tuke Centre is growing
The Tuke Centre is part of The Retreat, a charity providing mental health services in York. As a charity, our work is underpinned by clear principles of compassion, hope and courage. Demand for our psychological assessment and therapy services is increasing and we want to ensure we have the highest quality staff to provide these services to the community of York and beyond.
We are looking for experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologists to support our growing client numbers across a number of areas within our therapies services.
If you have experience in working with Complex Trauma, Eating Disorders or Autism and ADHD – we’d like to talk to you.
Who we are
The Tuke Centre opened nearly 30 years ago. We are a counselling, therapy and psychological assessment service, offering confidential therapy and assessment for adults only at present, though we plan to extend our services to children and young people in the near future.
Appointments take place in a welcoming detached building which provides an informal, relaxed environment.

We pride ourselves on delivering high quality tailored individual and group therapy to our clients. In the first half of 2018 94% of our clients who completed therapy and gave us feedback showed a significant or reliable change in their scores on the CORE-34.
