Clinical Practitioner, Youth Offending Team

Salary: up to £49,452 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part time, 28.8 hours per week

Barnet Youth Offending Team is seeking to recruit a Clinical Practitioner who has a keen interest in undertaking highly specialised clinical assessments and interventions with adolescents who present with a range of risks and vulnerabilities.

The post holder will need to have experience of and be able to evidence a flexible and creative approach to engaging young people and their families, via one to one, group and family work, based in homes and in the community. You will be able to work alongside YOT colleagues and partners in order to provide information to assist sentencing and subsequent intervention planning and delivery.

You will have post-qualifying clinical experience in providing therapeutic interventions to adolescents presenting with experiences of trauma, group offending, violent or harmful behaviour, exploitation, loss and separation and who may be a risk to themselves and others.

The successful candidate will need to have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and be able to work well within a team environment. You will have good organisational skills and have the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.

Candidates must hold a UK recognised qualification in Systemic Psychotherapy or Clinical Psychology and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). An enhanced DBS check is required.

Salary: £44,751 to £49,452 pro rata (0.8 FTE)
