Vision Mental Healthcare (VMH) is an independent healthcare provider to the NHS founded in 2008. The service is operated from Cornerstone House, a rehab inpatient service of 25 beds. VMH provides on-going treatment to adult patients who suffer from a range of severe and enduring mental illnesses and in particular Schizophrenia, Psychosis, and Personality Disorders. Some patients have a dual diagnosis of Learning Disabilities and Mental Health difficulties.
The service specialises in MBT and provides a complete inpatient program to patients with personality disorder. The program has been running for four years. In addition to the MBT service, structured rehabilitation is provided to people with other forms of mental disorder.
We have a Multidisciplinary Team of Consultant Psychiatrists, Occupational Therapists, Art Therapist, Nurses, Assistant Psychologists and support workers as well as a Clinical Psychologist and we are looking for an additional Clinical Psychologist who will be supporting the MDT due to extension of the service.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Clinical Psychologist with HPCP registration as a Practitioner Psychologist who will be working on a Band 7/8A level and who will be involved in MDT reviews and Therapy Team Meetings as well as in facilitating or co-facilitating therapy groups. As part of the role, the successful candidate will also be undertaking individual work with patients. An interest in undertaking MBT Training is required and this will be provided at the Anna Freud Centre and also via in-house training.
As part of your role you will work as part of the MDT and will be based at Cornerstone House in Elstree, Hertfordshire.
