Set in the leafy suburb of Edgbaston, close to Birmingham City centre, Priory Hospital Woodbourne is conveniently located for access to the West Midlands motorway network and with very good local public transport links.
The hospital provides a diverse range of inpatient services, including acute care for adults aged 18-25, psychiatric intensive care for adults aged 18-65 years, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, specialist Eating Disorder (including day care) and private acute and addictions treatment programmes.
With 78 beds across 7 wards, our multi-disciplinary teams deliver personalised treatment programmes to our patients and have established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care.
We have Clinical Psychology opportunities across our hospital and are looking for passionate, dedicated people to deliver expert care within our hospitals. We have opportunities across a number of service lines including CAMHS and Eating Disorders.
The successful applicant will be accredited with an appropriate professional body, accreditation with the BPS and registration with the HCPC and should be familiar with using psychological assessment tools. The ability to work within CBT and DBT models would be desirable.
The post holder will require excellent communication skills and will need to work closely with the existing MDT team within the Eating Disorders Unit.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals where applicable, and must be able to work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures
