The Chronic Pain Team are seeking to recruit a Clinical Psychologist to support the Lead Clinical
Psychologist.


The Chronic Pain Management Service provides a full range of clinical psychology services to
alleviate psychological distress and promote the psychological well-being of the people of North
NHS Highland with chronic pain. This includes not only mental health problems but also the
application of psychological approaches to a range of health issues including health related
behaviour change and the psychological factors relating to the patients chronic pain.


The post holder will provide a high quality clinical psychology service to clients of the Chronic
Pain Management Service (North Highland NHS), including individual assessments,
neuropsychological screening, psychometric testing and therapy, consultancy, advice and training
on psychological aspects of care to other staff. The post would also contribute to the
development and delivery of group interventions for chronic pain.
 
This post will form part of the central Chronic Pain Team, who are traditionally based around
Inverness/Invergordon area, although travel throughout Highland area, including A&B may be
required in order to meet the needs of the service.


This is a permanent 37.5 hours post, to be worked flexibly to meet service requirements, with
approximately 50 - 60% of the role working remotely by phone / near me etc.
