If you are an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Psychologist looking for a rewarding career,

You will provide highly specialised psychological assessments and treatment for Children and Young
People experiencing severe, highly complex and persistent mental health difficulties a strong
interest and/or post qualifying experience or training in family work, attachment interventions or
vulnerable groups would be advantageous but not essential. Support and further specific training
will be offered to develop knowledge in areas of interest and to expand your evidence based
therapeutic interventions should this be desired as part of your career path.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will provide specialist supervision and consultation, teaching and training within the
team and related agencies in agreement with the Team Manager and will participate in clinical audit,
service evaluation and development. Applicants will be encouraged to lead on areas of special
interest and develop strategic plans considering national drivers and local needs.
You will be a valued core member of the multi-disciplinary CAMHS and leadership team, joining a
supportive and friendly network of local CWP clinical staff
The post is Band 8a, 37.5 hours per week or substantive part-time post and is based within The Birch
Centre Wirral CAMHS team. Please consider all the essential criteria within the Job Description for
