This is an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist who is interested in working with children with Learning Disabilities.
This post is based within an energetic and supportive team of psychologists and nurses, as part of Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
The children’s CTPLD works closely with other children’s services (and is co-located with those services in the children’s hub at St Mary’s Hospital), but is also part of the LD service, and therefore strongly linked to the adult CTPLDs and LD Intensive Support Team.
The work will be challenging and varied, requiring complex assessment and the provision of a variety of therapeutic interventions, including working with behaviour which challenges. The team have special interests in play therapy and attachment-based interventions.
The post is well supported by the multi-disciplinary team, as well as a strong team of LD Clinical Psychologists who meet regularly, supervision being integral to the effective provision of psychologically-informed services.
This post also affords the opportunity to liaise and network with Clinical Psychologists throughout the trust working in a wide variety of settings and with a wide variety of clinical needs.
This larger group meets monthly to share professional knowledge and contribute to Continued Professional Development.
Please note that interviews will take place on Tuesday 17th October. Please reserve this day in your diary.
For further details please contact Dr Ursula McCann, Consultant Clinical Psychologist or Dr Helen Fletcher, Principal Clinical Psychologist on 01604 657748 or 657700.
