Livability Icanho is a non-residential highly specialist community based brain injury service with its base in Stowmarket Suffolk (within 45 minutes drive of Cambridge or Colchester and 20 minutes away from Ipswich or Bury St Edmunds)
The service is run by the national charity Livability. Livability Icanho’s client base is 100% acquired brain injury, with the majority of clients having suffered a stroke or TBI. Our clinical work is undertaken as an interdisciplinary team and Clinical Psychology is a valued part of that team.
You will be part of a Psychology department that has regular trainees on placement from the Doctoral Clinical Psychology courses running from both Essex University and the U.E.A. You will be working alongside a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and will receive regular training and supervision.
We are looking for a creative clinical psychologist who is a team player. You will ideally have experience of working with clients with brain injury, as well as of teaching and training other professionals.
If you are keen to be involved in developing a service, enjoy being part of a committed enthusiastic team– this is your type of job
We welcome applications from newly or recently qualified clinical psychologists. Approaches from those currently in their 3rd year of training will be considered. More experienced clinical psychologists who might be interested in the post are urged to contact us for an informal discussion of the role.
For Further Information or an informal discussion please contact Dr Vanessa Garfoot (Consultant Clinical Psychologist) or Dr Rosemary Gravell (Service Manager) on 01449 776102
