We are looking for a psychologist with experience and a passion for working with individuals and groups who face inequalities in accessing mental health services.

The Assertive Contact and Engagement (ACE) Service will provide you with a dynamic, person-centred working environment, where you will be empowered to support clients with complex needs, adopting a personalised approach to care that maximises independence, choice and control, following our philosophy of psychologically informed environments.

As the post-holder, you will provide psychological guidance to the staff, supervise a team of therapists, and directly provide therapeutic interventions. You will also ensure that the ACE Service has a productive and influential role in Bristol’s mental health system.

Working within a highly motivated and passionate team, you will have access to a personalised learning and development programme and be supported in your career and personal growth, with opportunities to extend your skills and ensure that you excel. The service also has well established links to the local psychology networks and a strong ethos of supervision and reflective practice.

The (ACE) Service at St Mungo’s, is an NHS commissioned service and part of the Bristol Mental Health partnership. ACE works with people with mental health needs who are not actively engaged with other mental health services and face complex barriers to support. The service operates across Bristol, running a variety of services including community engagement and outreach, as well as therapeutic groups and drop-ins from three hubs.  The project reflects the diversity of Bristol and reaches people and communities that may have had difficulty accessing services in the past.

We are looking for someone with experience of working in high quality outcome focused services and who has a passion for supporting people in a positive, individual manner to sustain their recovery. We also welcome and encourage applications from people with lived experience of mental health issues and/or services.
