An opportunity for a qualified or final year Clinical Psychologist to join our team to cover a period of maternity leave from 1/12/19.
Our Dementia & Huntington's Disease Integrated Practice Unit (IPU) offers specialist services for complex dementias including young onset dementias, frontotemporal dementias and other neurodegenerative disorders complicated by physical morbidity and behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia. The care and treatment offered is recognised for being at the forefront of innovative service developments, for its excellence in service delivery and for its ability to manage and reduce the risks associated with complex dementias.
The Dementia IPU also offers an excellent opportunity to deliver value-based healthcare focusing on clinical outcomes. The IPU is focusing on using up-to-date data on outcomes based on the recommendations of International Consortium of Health Outcome Measures to continually adapt care to best meet every patient’s needs.
A vacancy has arisen within the Psychology Team for a Clinical Psychologist in the Dementia & Huntington’s disease Integrated Practice Unit. This position will particularly meet the needs of Clinical Psychologists who wish to work with people with neurological disorders, by providing excellent opportunities for delivering psychological input to a wide range of people with progressive neurological conditions and complex/varied needs. Clinical Psychologists in Training who are currently in their final year of study are welcome to apply.
The successful applicants will join an established team led by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and containing Clinical Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists and graduate volunteers/placement students. Your work will also be as part of an MDT alongside our highly regarded colleagues from Therapy, Nursing and Psychiatry disciplines.
