Our Brain Injury Integrated Practice Unit (IPU) offers specialist services for patients with Acquired Brain Injury. The care and rehabilitation offered is recognised for being at the forefront of innovative service developments, for its excellence in service delivery and for its ability to manage and reduce the risks associated with Acquired Brain Injury.
A vacancy has arisen for a Clinical Psychologist to provide a 12 month maternity cover in the Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Care Integrated Practice Unit. This position will particularly meet the needs of Clinical Psychologists who wish to work with people with acquired brain injury and co-morbidities, including challenging behaviour, and who are looking to significantly enhance their experience by working in a well-established and respected service. Two wards from the service were recently inspected by Headway UK and awarded ‘Approved Provider’ status.
The successful applicant will work with an established team led by a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist, and containing Clinical Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists and graduate volunteers and placement students. You will also be a key member of an MDT alongside our highly regarded colleagues from the Therapies, Nursing and Psychiatry disciplines. The service has a long history of highly specialist neurobehavioural rehabilitation and is developing its approaches further to incorporate RAID© and patient focused positive behaviour support.
The role is offered on a full time 37.5 hours per week basis. Consideration will be given to a part time working arrangement.
