Are you a Clinical Psychologist who wants to be part of a new innovative approach to mental health? We’re launching a groundbreaking primary care based service in Sheffield that will trial new ways of working.


About the programe 


Sheffield is a national trailblazer site for delivering a new place-based community mental health service for adults and older adults. The programme is a partnership between Sheffield Health and Social Care, Primary Care Sheffield and NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group and the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE.) It will focus on developing primary care and community based support with improved access to psychological therapies, improved physical health care, personalised and trauma-informed care and medicine management. Outcomes from the programme will influence the way mental health services are delivered at a national level.


About the role


You will be part of a place-based team in one or more primary care networks delivering Care, Support and Treatment approach to improve care for adults with severe mental illness and complex mental health difficulties associated with a diagnosis of “personality disorder”. You will provide clinical supervision for Clinical Associates Psychologists and assistant psychologists.


We are looking for candidates who have some experience of working with people who have complex needs associated with a diagnosis of “personality disorder” and with multidisciplinary professionals and agencies addressing physical, social and psychological needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a real commitment and compassion for working with this client group and across a diverse population.
