This role is an exciting opportunity to develop innovative approaches to addressing the mental health needs of hospital and community NHS staff. You will join a small team of Clinical Psychologists, Systemic Psychotherapists and CBT Therapists who are committed to improving the psychological health of NHS staff. You will have the chance to develop skills and experience in the rapidly growing field of staff mental health and organisational change.
The post holder will be responsible for project management aimed to develop a psychologically informed culture within the Trust by raising awareness of mental health and how psychological processes influence both working relationships and patient experience. This will help to establish what the needs of different staff groups are and how we can enable staff teams to look after their own mental health. This post will assist the Trust to take a developmental approach to organisational change, applying clinical psychology methodology to assess need and design interventions at an individual, service and Trust-wide level. Undertaking audit, research, service development and service evaluation projects will be an important aspect of the role.
This role will focus on applying the theory and practice of clinical psychology to design interventions aimed at improving staff mental health. It will involve working at the level of the individual, with staff teams as well as making organisational changes. The role will also involve some direct clinical work with hospital and community staff who require psychological therapy.
