Job Description

Socrates Psychological Services Ltd

Clinical Psychologist (newly qualified)

Competitive, negotiable salary

Ideally full-time 37.5 hours per week, part-time will be considered

Socrates Psychological Services is a successful, well-regarded independent organisation comprising of multidisciplinary practitioners offering a wide variety of assessments and interventions across the age range.

We are based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and have operated continually since early 2007 to become one of the leading providers in the West Yorkshire area.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, newly qualified Clinical Psychologist to join, contribute and collaborate with our friendly and well supported team.

As well as holding a number of contracts, we accept self-referrals and other third-party referrals, as such we are able to offer a wide variety of work and professional challenges.

Within the adult and child areas of the service, there is the opportunity to develop preferred therapeutic models, offering short and longer-term interventions and to assist in service evaluation and new initiatives with colleagues.

If legal assessment work is of interest then this is also an area that is available within the service, but not a necessity for this post.

Individual supervision will be provided by a senior Clinical Psychologist in the team and there are regular peer supervision support sessions and specialist supervision groups. We also support and fund external supervision if this is required as part of training needs and fits with the provision of the service.

Other benefits include free parking, company pension and an annual training budget.

We are extremely proud of our service, the work we do for our clients and are excited to be able to offer this opportunity. We look forward to hearing from you.

For further information, to arrange a visit, or to apply, please contact Dr Rachel McCormick, Managing Director, or Dr Leanne Tidsey, Clinical Director.
