An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Psychologist in Neuropsychology to join our team and provide clinical leadership in our Neuropsychology Service, as well as the Neurorehabilitation at Psicon Service (NAP).
The Psicon Group is comprised of six areas of specialist psychological and health services: Community-Based Neurological Rehabilitation Services; Medico-Legal Services; Adult Mental Health Services; Neurodevelopmental Lifespan Services; Child, Young People and Family Services; and Occupational Psychology Services. Through these, we provide prompt access to high quality professionals offering consultations, assessments, therapy and rehabilitation.
Our services support a range of clients, from individuals and their families, to corporations, the uniformed services, schools, universities and other centres of education.
Additionally, the Psicon Group works in partnership with the NHS and other local authorities to provide individuals in the Kent area with access to psychological support for common mental health difficulties.

Our neuropsychology service is currently led by a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist (Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists) and supported by a Senior Clinical Psychologist and Assistant Psychologists.
Working in conjunction with solicitors and case management companies, NAP’s specialist team provides bespoke multidisciplinary rehabilitation programmes that are carefully considered and defined in relation to each individual’s specific needs.
Whether for an initial assessment or ongoing intervention, our commitment to an interdisciplinary approach enables the holistic support of all individuals under NAP's care. Effective communication with clients, their families and professionals further ensures that individuals are supported to reach optimum levels of functioning.
About the Role:
This is an exciting full-time leadership post responsible for Neuropsychological leadership, support within our specialised NAP service in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
The successful candidate will work clinically to deliver neuropsychology via a dedicated caseload in addition to managing the service as a whole, including screening referrals, developing and supervising the team and expanding the service by forming positive relationships with external stakeholders.
Additionally, the role can include clinical work across other services within the Psicon group, including the Adult Mental Health Service, Medico-legal Service and Adult Neurodevelopmental Lifespan Service, depending on the clinician’s interests, skills and experience.
They will play an active role in Psicon’s Clinical Governance Committee, representing the NAP service and contributing to the development of clinical and corporate policies and procedures. They will also determine and oversee the service’s audit schedule, ensuring clinical outcomes are measured and presented regularly at Clinical Governance meetings and to external stakeholders when required.
About the Person:
- BPS accredited and HCPC approved
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
- Registered as a Clinical Psychologist with the HCPC
- Ideally on the BPS Special Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists
- Track record of effectively delivering clinical neuropsychology input to neurological rehabilitation services
- Advanced skills to assess, formulate, intervene and evaluate complex cases, requiring the ability to manage multifaceted information, working in conjunction with service users and the multidisciplinary team, and drawing from a range of applicable therapeutic, evidence-based psychological therapies
- A professional who is able to positively influence a range of internal/external stakeholders to effectively promote the Neuropsychology and NAP service at Psicon.
