The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT,) the charity leading brain injury rehabilitation across the UK, is now recruiting Clinical Psychologists in Horsham in West Sussex, Llanelli, Milton Keynes, Swindon and Liverpool.

With opportunities to undertake a Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN), carry out research to enhance treatments and provide strategic professional support for multidisciplinary clinical teams, this role offers great career development prospects.

Comfortable planning and developing a systematic response to service user need, you’ll draw on your expertise and experience, and our professional policies, to ensure BIRT’s rehabilitation meets the highest quality standards and reflects clinical good practice.

BIRT’s centres include residential services and independent hospitals, each offering intensive neurorehabilitation to adults with acquired brain injury as well as outreach and community-based provision. Peer support and supervision is at the heart of our approach to achieving excellent practice, and is delivered via our Clinical Executive Group, individual discussions and peer professional forums within the Trust.

Successful applicants will have a doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) accredited by BPS. It’s essential you have the ability to communicate well at all levels and are able to gather, analyse and interpret complex multifactorial clinical information. We are also looking for an individual who has excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with complex and emotive subjects. You’ll need excellent organisation skills, the ability to prioritise workloads as well as the ability to administer and interpret a range of psychometric test material.
