Clinical Psychologist (8a) Job Reference: 246-GYW2114-32102
A partnership between Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust and Engage Educational Services is looking for a role working within a small multi disciplinary team delivering outreach support to some of the most vulnerable and challenging young people in Norfolk schools.
The role will involve working in a large number of primary and secondary phase schools across Norfolk, delivering assessment and advice on improving the wellbeing of identified young people. The role will be based within two of the sites of the Short Stay School for Norfolk (SSSFN), which is a specialist Academy for young people with challenging behaviour. Within the SSSFN the role will also encompass providing developmental support for the establishment to improve its capacity to meet the needs of the most challenging young people.
The role will develop models of support for staff, pupils and families in mainstream schools. There will be expectations to work with others to develop evidence of the impact and work creatively to meet the needs of the school community. The mixture of work with mainstream schools and support for the SSSFN will ensure that the successful candidate has a varied and developmentally engaging role, which while challenging will also be rewarding.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of building a new model of mental health work in schools. This post will be jointly recruited by NSFT and Engage Educational Services.
