Unique opportunity to work for St Andrew’s in the new and exciting Transforming Rehabilitation Agenda for Offender Health - Criminal Justice Pathway, working with offenders to help them lead responsible and law abiding lives.

This service will deliver therapeutic interventions into the probation service. The service will be led by St Andrew’s who are subcontracted to a larger contract run by MTC Novo / London CRC.

The successful applicant will be part of a newly established London wide team dedicated to the delivery of high-quality mental health/learning disability services to clients sentenced to a rehabilitation activity requirement (RAR) or mental health treatment requirement (MHTR).  Duties are varied, but will include line management and clinical supervision of Assistant Psychologists, psychological assessment of clients, delivering specific psychological treatments, maintaining patient records and outcome measures, as well as on-going service development.

As a successful applicant you will receive from us the freedom and resources to develop services within clinical guidelines.  You will receive well-structured support and regular supervision.  You will also have access to peer support from the wider Charity as well as regular CPD events.

We are looking for a proactive, innovative and hands-on, Clinical/Counselling Psychologist with a strong client-focus, excellent communication skills and a “can-do” attitude, able to work independently as well as closely and collaboratively with a team co-located within an external organisation. You will be eager to take ownership and responsibility for delivering your work and will be self-driven, results-oriented and be able to demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills, combined with the ability to prioritise a substantial workload in a balanced and flexible way.

We encourage innovative, motivated and interested psychologists to apply.

To find out more about the role please contact Lorraine Chand, CRC Regional Manager on or 07841 069445 to discuss the role further.

The role is primarily based in a fixed location though requires shared responsibility for Assistant Psychologists across all London boroughs, however, the role is likely to involve some travel to St Andrew’s at its Northampton site for the purposes of induction, training and development. Travel across London is an expectation of this role.

The Consultancy Service operates primarily from Northampton delivering private outpatient therapy services. We also deliver services into a range of settings such as secure children’s homes, prisons and criminal justice pathways.  In addition, we offer expert advice, opinion and training to the medical and legal professions.
