Job Description

Did you know that Priory is now the UK’s leading independent provider of Eating Disorder services? In fact, we currently deliver over a third of the country’s inpatient services – and nowhere is our expertise and innovation more visible than at the Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal in Cheshire.

So, if you are looking to develop your clinical and leadership skills to the full, there’s no better place to be.

Our strengths are clear. Our multi-disciplinary teams deliver sensitive therapeutic interventions and seamless care pathways for patients with complex eating disorders in a healing environment that also offers specialist Adolescent, Acute, Rehabilitation and PICU services. We are now looking for a qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to support the growing success of our Adult Eating Disorder services. In addition to undertaking specialist psychological assessments, you will co-facilitate groups, deliver specialist psychological interventions, provide consultation and supervision, and actively contribute to the development and continuous improvement of our service provision.

This full time salaried position – equivalent to NHS Band 7 – calls for a professional with a doctorate or equivalent in clinical or counselling psychology. We also welcome applications from current doctoral trainees who are due to qualify in 2016. In all cases, you must be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and demonstrate the clinical, consultation and leadership skills needed to offer an outstanding psychology service. First-class communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills are, of course, essential.
