Our services

We are looking to recruit an additional Clinical Psychologist to meet increased service demand across two areas of our organisation:

  1. Orchard House Family Assessment Centre provides ‘outstanding’ [latest Ofsted Inspection, 2016] parenting and psychological assessments to Local Authorities and Family Courts nationwide.
  2. Somerset Clinic is an independent provider of responsive psychological services for both adults and children in need of evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

The successful candidate will have time allocated across both services, providing a welcome variety of assessment and therapeutic work. You will join a supportive and friendly team of five Clinical Psychologists to ensure the provision of psychologically-informed assessment and intervention. You will be encouraged to develop your own interests, in line with service need, with options of developing expertise in undertaking psychological assessments for the Family Court or in providing specialist psychological therapy and input in line with best professional practice and with due regard of the existing evidence-base.

Working alongside experienced Social Workers and our wider MDT, you will have a track record of working effectively with a range of presenting difficulties, including for example adults with learning disabilities, substance misuse, and mental health difficulties, drawing on various theoretical models such as attachment.

Orchard House is committed to helping parents to demonstrate their best possible parenting capacity to fully meet their children’s needs and we make a vital contribution towards the decision-making process that impacts upon the lives of children and families. If you share our core value of compassion and our dedication to supporting some of the UK’s most vulnerable young people and families, then we would love you to join us.
