The Isle of Wight Chronic Pain Team has recently undergone a restructure to include an increased provision of psychology, physiotherapy and specialist nurse services. As such we are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Psychologist to lead us further on this journey.
We’re seeking an innovative and highly capable Consultant Clinical Psychologist to join and lead the Chronic Pain service on the Isle of Wight.
You’ll be an experienced leader and someone who continually strives for best practice and who can evaluate and develop services to meet patient need alongside balancing commissioning requirements. Your experience of working with commissioners will help ensure the Chronic Pain Service has a sustainable and beneficial future for the Isle of Wight population.
You’ll provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention to adults with a range of chronic pain conditions on an individual and group basis. Whilst we are looking to recruit on a full-time basis, we’re happy to discuss other patterns of Working.
The Isle of Wight is a place of much natural beauty and has much to offer in the way of outdoor recreational and leisure pursuits. There are frequent crossings from Lymington, Southampton, Portsmouth and Southsea, with journey times taking from as little as 10 minutes. London can be reached in 90 minutes by rail from Southampton or Portsmouth. There is a regional airport at Southampton, with flights to many European destinations as well as UK mainland cities.
