Hours - 0.7 wte (Part Time, Permanent)

An exciting opportunity exists for a part-time Consultant Clinical Psychologist to join a dynamic psychology department providing input to our Young People's Service. We have 3 Young People's Inpatient Units, consisting of an open acute unit, a PICU and a low secure female unit.

The successful applicant will be carry a clinical caseload and also provide specialist clinical supervision for the psychological specialists working across Young People's services. Suitable candidates will have a minimum of 5 years post qualification clinical experience in CAMHS / Young People's services and be able to demonstrate expertise as a senior psychologist. They will have a high level of knowledge and skills in assessment and intervention with young people with complex mental health needs, drawing flexibly on a range of models, theories and approaches in their work. They will enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The role also offers opportunities for research, evaluation and service development. We are a department who values investing in those wanting to progress their career and appropriate support and mentoring is available for those making the upward transition to a Consultant Post.

The psychology department has strong links with local Universities, providing placements for clinical and counselling psychology trainees and other psychological specialists in training.
