As part of a major improvement program Jersey’s Mental Health Services are looking to recruit to a new post of Consultant Lead Psychologist, with a remit to develop and oversee our psychological provision across our prison, probation and community forensic mental health services.

We have identified the need to improve our psychological services for adults who have offended, be that for individuals at Jersey’s la Moye Prison, or under our probation services, or supported by our specialist and primary care mental health services and so are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated consultant psychologist with an enthusiasm for developing and leading on new services, building strong relationships between agencies, and ensuring the increased provision of effective therapies and interventions to support peoples recovery and rehabilitation.

This role will sit within our Mental Health Care Group, as part of Jersey’s Health and Community Services. We provide multi-disciplinary mental health services for the whole of Jersey, running a Talking Therapies service, a community mental health team, our Alcohol and Drug Team as well as our home treatment and liaison team, and our inpatient units.

This presents a unique opportunity to be part of our work to develop an integrated and island wide approach to improving mental health, developing recovery and trauma informed ways of working.
