Jersey is an island that’s been built on care. It’s why we look out for, and after one another so well. Our Health and Social Services Department aim to improve the health and wellbeing of Islanders through the delivery of safe and high quality care. This is your chance to help continue this – and to rediscover so much more than just a career.
As a key member of our CAMHS team, you will help to deliver psychological and therapeutic support to children, young people and their parents. This is a Tier 3 CAMHS team so you will see young people with a wide range of presenting concerns. Whatever the challenge, you’ll be ready and willing to tackle it. Offering assessments and formulating intervention plans, making skilled evaluations and decisions in partnership with other therapists, providing consultation and supervision to professionals within a specialist CAMHS team – all, and more, are part and parcel of this highly rewarding role.
To succeed, you’ll need a good honours degree in Psychology and a postgraduate doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) as accredited by the BPS/HPC. We’ll also be looking for proven experience gained working in a CAMHS service and a real commitment to developing advanced specialist training/qualifications in skills relevant to the speciality area. Bring us all that, coupled with a real enthusiasm and passion for what you do, and together, we’ll thrive.
Our people matter to us, so we’ll support you from day one. We’ll give you everything you need to make this move and start changing the lives of others, and your own. That means a generous relocation package, continual training and development opportunities, and the freedom to rediscover not just why you love what you do, but also who you are.
