Course Director – Clinical Psychology (HS16/02)

Salary up to £81,618 per annum, equivalent to NHS band 8D.

Psychology at Staffordshire is an established, dynamic and highly successful department.  We are nationally recognised for the quality of our educational provision and internationally for our research. 

We have a range of highly successful undergraduate, postgraduate and NHS funded clinical programmes and an enthusiastic and friendly team.  We benefit from purpose built facilities in both counselling and psychology, in a £30 million Science Centre, and we work across the region with a number of organisations and health agencies.

A vacancy for an experienced Clinical Psychologist as Director of the Clinical Psychology and CBT programmes has become available. You will be responsible to the Dean of Life Sciences and Education for the overall organisation of the programme, its quality and effectiveness and will act as line manager for the programme staff.

You must hold an accredited qualification in Clinical Psychology (i.e. HPC Registered and eligible for Chartered Clinical Psychologist status with the BPS), have experience of managing people and budgets and have some previous experience delivering elements of this or a similar training programme successfully.

You will possess outstanding communication skills, highly developed interpersonal skills and excellent team-working and leadership skills.  You will also be exceptionally organised and conscientious and have a high level of analytical and problem-solving capability.

This a full university contract that allows a 0.2 clinical time.
