Hours: Part-time (between 14-21 hours per week depending on availability – across 2-3 days)
Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 per annum FTE, depending on experience, plus 6% contributory pension scheme
The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families supports distressed children and their families through innovative therapeutic practice and research, training and promoting awareness of mental health issues. In April 2019, the Centre opened its new Centre of Excellence located in King’s Cross. The Centre works in close partnership with a wide range of service providers including UCL to support the delivery of its postgraduate programmes.

The Deputy Programme Director will work closely to support the Programme Director to ensure the delivery of high standard teaching and development of the MSc programme in Developmental Psychology and Clinical Practice according to UCL standards and regulations and in line with the course objectives. The post-holder will work closely with the Programme Director, staff and students to develop the programme, including implementing key priorities such as improving Equality, Diversity and Inclusion within the programme as well as supporting the delivery of clinical placements and academic research projects.
The post-holder will have demonstrable capacity to contribute to the delivery of a clinical teaching programme, skills to be a part of a leadership group and an interest in curriculum development. They will have experience of working in a clinical role, including working cross-culturally and thinking about cultural issues in relation to clinical practice.
The post-holder will be home-based during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic; thereafter at the Anna Freud Centre, 4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH.
