Deputy Programme Director – MSc Developmental Psychology and Clinical Practice

Hours: Part-time (between 14-21 hours / 2-3 days per week – depending on availability)

Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 per annum FTE, depending on experience, plus 6% contributory pension scheme 

 

The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families supports distressed children and their families through innovative therapeutic practice and research, training and promoting awareness of mental health issues. In April 2019, the Centre opened its new Centre of Excellence located in King’s Cross. The Centre works in close partnership with a wide range of service providers including UCL to support the delivery of its postgraduate programmes.

The Deputy Programme Director will work closely to support the Programme Director to ensure the delivery of high standard teaching and development of the MSc programme in Developmental Psychology and Clinical Practice according to UCL standards and regulations and in line with the course objectives.  The post-holder will work closely with the Programme Director, staff and students to develop the programme, including implementing key priorities such as improving Equality, Diversity and Inclusion within the programme as well as supporting the delivery of clinical placements and academic research projects.

With a background in clinical practice or academic research, the post-holder will have experience of teaching, course organisation and managing/supporting staff. They will also have understanding of academic regulations to support the delivery of a postgraduate programme and the ability to form good working relationships and work collaboratively.

The post-holder will be home-based during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and thereafter at the Anna Freud Centre, 4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH.

Contract duration

Fixed term, two years in the first instance.
