This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) team as a Psychological Services Team Manager where you will contribute to the leadership and expertise within the mental health service. You will manage a 24/7 clinical service caseload of mental health assessments, formulations and interventions for customers accessing the service.
 
Your clinical knowledge will ensure an outstanding customer experience as well as compliance with operational control standards. You will have responsibilities which include; providing appropriate clinical support, regular training and auditing within the EAP service and you will be instrumental in developing a culture that continually improves clinical quality.


Accountabilities and activities

Deliver high standards of clinical governance and quality improvement and in particular support the delivery and development of:

• Clinical effectiveness, adherence to best international standards, clinical policies, clinical audit and clinical performance monitoring
• Clinical safety, clinical incident management and clinical risk management
• Learning from clinical complaints and customer satisfaction surveys
• Regulatory and statutory compliance
• Professional development, clinical training and clinical appraisal
• Clinical governance reporting
• Clinical input and sign off into marketing and promotional material 
• Clinical development of the service, and work to integrate into wider mental health product offering 

Deliver strong operational performance:

• Key customer liaison functions, including sales and tendering
• Clinical input into product and service development
• To build relationships and liaise regularly with senior and operational managers across all areas of Bupa
• Oversight of customer pathways, delivering the most appropriate clinical outcomes at the best cost for the customer 
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction within psychological services, in line business unit and corporate requirements
• Identify and arrange appropriate referrals to other allied health professional specialists and agencies

Requirements:

• Qualified Clinical Psychologist – preferably with experience in a similar setting or within a complex mental health setting
• Professional development, appraisal and training in line with the requirements of BPS / HCPC 
• Chartered membership in line with the requirements of BPS 
• Up to date with own clinical practice and demonstrates an ability to maintain clinical competence 
• Registration with HCPC
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team at a senior level
• Ability to evaluate, plan and prioritise workload within demanding time scales
• Proven experience of customer service and client liaison
• Excellent application of clinical knowledge
• Experience of managing complex multifunctional service delivery operations 
• Ability to manage complex safeguarding or crisis cases
• Excellent leadership and management skills 
• Presentation, IT and problem solving skills
