Job Description

Eastern Region Educational Psychologist and Clinical Psychologist

Cavendish Education is a unique schools group currently seeking a full-time Educational Psychologist and a full time Clinical Psychologist to support our Eastern Region Schools. The successful candidates will join a multidisciplinary team, working to support a relational approach to teaching and learning which influences our whole school ethos and systems, as well as everyday practice.

Our Eastern Region Schools offer education placements for children and young people with very complex needs, often living in complex circumstances. Many of our learners have diagnoses of Autism and have experienced exclusion from mainstream settings. The Eastern Region Schools currently are:

Gretton School (Girton, Cambridgeshire)

Quorn Hall School (Quorn, Leicestershire)

Hardwick House School (Loughborough, Leicestershire)

Some travel between sites will be required, however we encourage flexible working where possible.

Our Schools are committed to offering a relational approach to education, informed by specialist knowledge of Autism and SEMH. Children and Young People who attend our schools have frequently experienced disrupted relationships as a consequence of their

needs not being understood or met in other settings. Our schools are committed to offering learners reparative experiences of relationships in order to enable them to meet their full potential.

Within this overarching relational frame, we draw on evidence based approaches such as restorative practice and positive behaviour support to meet the needs of our students and support the wellbeing of the whole school community.

Cavendish Education is committed to supporting the continued professional development of all staff and offers a CPD budget to support psychologists to develop their knowledge and practice. Regular external psychological supervision will be provided by a suitably qualified Consultant Educational Psychologist. We anticipate that the Cavendish Education psychology team will grow over the coming years with potential to recruit both assistant grade and qualified psychologists. This is an exciting time to join our psychology provision in schools and shape the developing service.

The roles are offered full time, term time only (39 weeks plus 2 weeks out of term time, allocated for report writing etc).

Candidates who would prefer to work part time are also welcome to apply.

The Educational Psychologist salary is equivalent to the Soulbury Scale A (4 to 8) in the range of £44,012 - £51,538 (pro rata), depending on experience.

The Clinical Psychologist Salary is 8a equivalent in the range of £45,753 - £51,668 (pro rata), depending on experience.

Closing date: 25/01/2021
